'The real culprit is Mahony'
After reading time and again about priests in the Los Angeles Archdiocese abusing children, I feel that the real culprit is Cardinal Roger Mahony. Over and over he has made poor choices to hide the dysfunctional side of the Catholic Church, hoping, and I'm sure praying, that if he sent these priests to other parishes, the problem would just go away ... from an LA Times Letter to the Editor.

You know, I've read your blog for some time now. At first I didn't believe everything you point out with Cardinal Mahoney, but I saw this show on EWTN where this priest alluded to a cardinal in California doing everything you said. He mentioned Call to Action and lack of Eucharistic devotion. I will pray for your diocese Quintero.
Is this the beginning of the end for cafeteria Cardinal Mahoney?
A buddy of mine insists that one-twelfth of the bishops are the successors of Judas Iscariot. I put Mahoney in that group.
