Motu proprio advance copy given to 30 bishops today
It is all over the Net. Katholische Nachrichten in Germany, citing Die Welt, reports (click on this post's title) that Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Holy See's Secretary of State, today gave 30 bishops from around the world advance copies of Pope Benedict XVI's motu proprio on the Tridentine Latin Mass, and copies of an explanatory letter from the Pope.The reports say the motu proprio and the letter will be released to the world on July 7.
Kath.net says, "It emphasizes the unity of the Roman Rite which will consist of an ordinary and an extraordinary form which are supposed to inspire each other. The ordinary/regular form will continue to be the new rite of 1969. The extraordinary form will be the Missal of Bl. John XXIII. of 1962."
Before we get too excited about the document, we should wait to see what it says, naturally.
We should also pray that every U.S. bishop, including those in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, will accept the motu proprio in good faith and generous spirit and will not be legalistic, harsh and ungenerous by interpreting it narrowly so as to effectively suppress the Tridentine Mass.
Watch certain ordinaries -- can you guess who -- say, "Oh, this motu proprio does not take into account circumstances in the USA. The Tridentine Latin Mass will upset the faithful, so we have to protect them from it. And besides, only 1% of the people want that Mass, anyway."

I find it very interesting that most of the people who are in favor of a return to the Latin Tridentine Mass never really lived through the time when it was the norm.
You realize of course that if you really want to return to that time and place, then you, as a Catholic speaking out, will have to shut up and simply pay, pray and obey...

That young people today LOVE the Tridentine Latin Mass is proof of its true Catholicity.
"That time and place," as you say, was one in which Catholic parents did not have ALL or MOST of their dear children LOSE THE FAITH, as happens today ALL THE TIME.
"That time and place" was one in which most Catholics faithfully attended Mass. Only with "the New Mass" did people start saying, "I don't get anything out of it."
Your formula "simply pay, pray and obey" is EXACTLY what our hierarchy and clergy have demanded of us for the past 45 years as they: Bulldoze, sell and wreckovate beautiful, orthodox Catholic churches; "update" and dumb down catechesis so that millions flee the Church; deform the liturgy with deviations; build monstrous, break-the-bank cathedrals; LIE to us about what Vatican II said and did; and refuse to honor Pope JPII's request that they allow wide and generous celebration of the Tridentine Latin Mass.

Your mind is clogged with modernism. I was raised in the time when the Tridentine Mass (I go unto the Altar of God....)was the norm, it was a time when people prayed instead of chatting in church, it was a time when women dressed like ladies in church and men dressed like gentlemen, it was a time of great Graces.
Pay, pray and obey was an invention of your fellow wreckers. We were taught never to obey in sin.

MORE ON GRAVE SCANDAL WITHIN THE “KNIGHTS” OF COLUMBUS- FOUR MORE ADDED TO LIST OF JUDAS KNIGHTS IN MASS.
I have just heard from John O’Gorman, the Fighting Knight of Columbus from Massachusetts, that the 170,000 signature Initiative Petition to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman was thwarted by the Legislature, meeting in joint Constitutional Convention, on Thursday, June 14 2007. The sad part is it would have passed to go on the ballot in 2008 had it not been for the votes of at least sixteen men who call themselves Knights of Columbus who voted against the Church they are supposed to be Knights of, and for the sodomites they support! They are:
Massachusetts Speaker of the House Sal Dimasi, and House Majority Leader John Rogers.
State Reps: Garrett Bradley, Bob Deleo, Stephen Di Natale, Chris Donelan, Christopher Fallon, Kevin Honan, Charles Murphy, Angelo Puppolo and Bob Spellane, Bob Nyman, and Paul McMurtry
State Senators: Tom McGee, Michael Knapik, and Michael Morrissey.
It only required 50 votes to bring this to the people of Massachusetts for a vote. The vote was 45 to do so. If the sixteen so called Knights had voted with the Church, and for the good of society, they would have had SIXTY ONE! God have mercy on their much compromised souls!
Seven of these Judases have PRO-CHOICE RATINGS FROM PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF MASS,, they are: The Speaker Dimasi, Bradley, Donelan, Honan, Murphy, Spellane, and McGee!
It seems that the Knights of Columbus, like the Bishops they follow, like to write nice things but run when they are asked to back up their writings with actions! In 2003, they actually passed a Resolution to in effect expel from the Order any Knight who supports abortion by forbidding these persons any honors or speaking platforms. WHAT A JOKE! Actually it is worse than a joke, because we have been told that whenever a Council tried to enforce the Resolution, that Council was quickly told not to do so by either their State or Supreme Offices!
Our Divine Savior had a great deal to say about such as these “Knights” when he said “Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you are like to whited sepulchers, which outwardly appear to men beautiful, but within, are full of dead men’s bones, and of all filthiness. So you also outwardly indeed appear to men just; but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.—Matt. XXIII. 25-28. Does anyone wonder what the Lord will say to these men when they stand before His Judgment seat?
This year, the “Knights” of Columbus will hold their annual Supreme Council meeting at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, Nashville, TN. As always, it will be in the first week of August from the 7th to the 9th, 2007.
