As I said, Catholic liberals love to honor pro-aborts -- and our bishops won't stop them
Probably you have heard that Fordham University plans to honor pro-abortion U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer on October 29.
Now comes word from the Cardinal Newman Society (click on this post's title) that tomorrow night (October 21) the School of Law at Santa Clara University will give a "Justice and Human Rights Award" to Leon Panetta, who was 100% pro-aborting babies when he was a congressman and when he was White House chief of staff to 100% pro-abortion Bill "Slick Willie" Clinton.
LifeNews.com reports that as White House chief of staff, Panetta even defended Clinton's cruel veto of a bill to outlaw slaying baby girls and boys who are partly born ("partial-birth abortion").
Our U.S. bishops could stop these scandalous pro-abortion awards ceremonies once and for all. They could enforce the order they gave Catholic institutions several years ago, to not honor pro-aborts. The bishops just need to PUNISH the liberals for defying them.
That'll be the day.

Just another reason why I stopped giving to Santa Clara. Amy semblance of Catholic teaching is over-ridden by the Mahony/Bernardin notion of "social justice" and the "seamless garment."
There is zero leadership from our chancery and it's beyond sad.
