Check out the Kids Quiz too: "Mass used to be said in what language?" You can guess the "correct" answer, though it might confuse Pope Benedict who I'm sure thought that his inauguration did actually qualify as a Mass despite the "incorrect" language...
What if I'm neither "Traditional" nor "Neo-Traditional" according to their labels? I hate "Gift of Finest Wheat" and think "Immaculate Mary" is one of the most beautiful hymns ever created. Also, John Paul II is my favorite pope (also the only one I remember other than our present Holy Father), and I don't think Vatican II was a mistake. I haven't seen "The Bells of St. Mary's" yet, but I have heard that it is a good Catholic movie. Where does that put me? ;)
And they say traditionalists create division in the Church...
If The Church teaches it, then I love it. Vatican II and all.
I had another - and unoriginal - idea. This labelling exercise designed to make people think they can believe in anything and still be faithful Catholics actually misses one key point: what about TRUTH? Surely this is a poll of which Pontius Pilate would be proud!
I think they took this info off of a beliefnet quiz: "What kind of Catholic are you?"
http://beliefnet.com/section/quiz/index.asp?sectionID=10023&surveyID=95
The results of the quiz seem to be quite similar to the survey... maybe taking this might answer cory's question?
What about Katholic with a capital K?
Can we just break it up into 2 categories for simplicity?? Believing Catholic and non-believing Catholic. This would add clarity and help people identify where they stand.
