Former L.A. priest gets life behind bars

Former religious priest, John Salazar, who was ordained in L.A. and worked in several East L.A. parishes, has been given a life sentence after a jury found him guilty of sexual assault of an 18 year old male. Salazar had been a member of a religious order known as the Fathers of the Pious Schools.

DALLAS (AP) -- A former Roman Catholic priest was sentenced to life in prison for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old former parishioner who said he was too drunk following a wedding party to defend himself.
