Whatever it is, it's creepy!
Is it the Catholic Primate of Los Angeles?
Y'all have heard about Michael Jackson's monkey, right? May introduce you to Roger Mahony's monkey?
I suspect that Michael Jackson is experiencing some monkey envy right about now.
I have heard people describe Mahony's cathedral as "obscene," which at first struck me as rather exaggerated. But the more I see of L.A.'s cathedral, the more I think OBSCENE is the right word!
That monkey is obscene.
I have one gesture for this...
*Sigh*
I wonder if Mahony ever spanks the monkey.
Hey, where are monkeys mentioned in the Bible anyway?
Yeah, I was asking myself the same thing.
OLAC website says: "The children's garden is adorned with the Cathedral animals based on biblical scriptures!"
Biblical scripture, they say. So we can eliminate the Hindu scriptures, for example.
But where in the Bible are there monkeys?
Happyguy7:
That's quite a tail ... I mean ... tale.
These posts crack me up.
Now, two further comments:
First, I think the monkey's crystal-ball gazing, and judging by its posture, I'd say the future for a certain cardinal is not looking good.
Second, and of far greater importance, who's reflection is that in the ball?? Senor Q??
How come no "LA Masses" post this week? Those are my favorite.
Is it 'Curious Roger' the new arch-diocese mascot?
He could be looking into the crystal ball for new and exciting ways to "Be Church!"
Damn! That's a nasty looking monkey. Is this all a part of "making the Church safe for children?" C'mon!!!
I think the monkey fits in well with the very, scary angels and the Tabernacle that looks like crushed cigarettes.
Yeah, post all you want about the Man with the Hat...
