Is this guy for real? How does Cardinal Mahony get to where he is? It is just baffling trying to figure out what the Vatican saw in him to elevate him to Cardinal.

I was hoping for an added s in your title to change Mahony's Reign to Mahony's Resign. Wishful thinking I guess.
