January 22, Roe vs. Wade, a date that continues to live in infamy. We have to start saving our babies.
The painting above is making ole Q shed some tears tonight. How about you?
It's called "Earth's Trash, Heaven's Treasure," and it shows guardian angels taking aborted babies from an abortion mill's dumpster up to Jesus in Heaven.

Did you know that Bishop John W. Yanta of Amarillo has declared this January 22, 2008, a Day of Fasting and Abstinence in his diocese? God reward him!!!
Bishop Yanta writes in his diocesan paper, "I encourage all the people of God to attend Mass that day, pray before the Blessed Sacrament, pray the rosary and witness to life...Make Jan. 22 a day of repentance and reparation." [emphases added]
Did you also know that, as Bishop Yanta's newspaper, The West Texas Catholic, points out, the GIRM, no. 373, says this:
"On the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision, Roe vs. Wade (1973) Jan. 22 shall be observed in all dioceses of the United States as a particular day of penance for violations of the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion, and of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life." [emphasis added]
So let's tell everyone about this and let's pray, do penance and seek to save babies on Jan. 22, a day that continues to live in infamy.
And by the way, did you also know that it was our own Bishop John Ward of L.A. who came up with the name, "right to life movement," many years ago? God bless him!

I did not know that Bp. John Ward of LA came up with the right to life movemnt. (Probaly because I don't remember that far back, after all, I'm only 22)...But I totally agree today should be a day of penance. (Time to go in front of the Blessed Sacrament!)

Hi Q,
Speaking of pro-life art, do you think you could blog about this event that will happen in San Francisco on March 8?
It's the "Cinema Vita" Film Festival--the first Pro-Life Film Festival. Its being be put on by the Archdiocese and Ignatius Press. The information is here: http://www.ignatius.com/cinemavita/sub%20guide.htm
Dear Joe of St. Therese,
Good for you, for making a visit to Jesus. Please say a prayer for ole Q and for everyone who stops by this blogspot. I'll say one for you.
Dear Gibbons,
Yes, and many thanks for the idea. What a worthy cause!
hat will you say to HIM?
When you stand before Our Lord and Savior, and He asks you what you did when His Church was being violently attacked at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, what will you say to Him?
Once again, the speakers list for this Congress is like a who’s who of the dissenter’s roster for the Americas. Among the more notorious of these speakers are:
Scott Appleby, Dr.Tom Beaudoin, Rev. Michael Crosby, Rev. John Cusick, Msgr. Ray East, Rev. Rev. Virgillio Elizondo, Sr. Barbara Fiand, Richard Fragomeni, Edwina Gatley, Greer Gordon, Thomas Groome, Rev. Gwynne Guibord, David Haas, Rev. Marty Haugen, Rev. John Heagle, Rev. Brian Massingale, Dr. Megan McKenna, Fr. Chris Ponnet Rev. Timothy Radcliffe, Rev. Alexia Salvatierra, Fr. Thomas Sweetser, Jim Wallis, Tom Zanzig, and.this is just a partial list of the most notorious speakers!
SEVERAL OF THE ABOVE LISTED ARE PRO-ABORTION!
Once again, the “Concerned Roman Catholics of America” will be conducting a prayerful demonstration, and passing out flyers that attempt to educate those in attendance as to exactly what kind of teachings they are being subjected to.
We need more volunteers to help in this effort!
Come and join us on Saturday, March 1st as we stand up for His Church and its teachings. If you do, you will at least be able to say to Him when the time comes that you tried!
We will be in front of the Congress entrance from 9:00 AM to around 6:00 PM. Come and join us in the “Church Militant”. We firmly desire that all participants have Her Holy Rosary in their hands at all times!
The Congress takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA on the south side of Katella between Katella and Euclid.
Please let us know if you are anyone you know are planning to join us because this will help us to determine how many flyers we need to have printed. We very much need a volunteer who speaks fluent Spanish! We will meet outside the main ticket entrance. If we are chased from there, we will be on Katella Blvd. where all passing cars will be able to see us!
