Pope calls bishops on the carpet

The Irish bishops, that is. The photo above, from the February 18, 2010, issue of The Irish Catholic, is of Pope Benedict meeting with Ireland's 24 bishops earlier this week about the scandals of clerical sex abuse and hierarchical failings.

His Holiness would have to use a larger hall if he were to ever call the U.S. bishops on the carpet and take them to the woodshed.

And yes, I know there's no carpet in the above photo!
