Mahony's most troubling case

Out of the numerous cases involving clergy sexual abuse of minors, the one which Cardinal Mahony finds most troubling is that of Father Michael Baker. And troubled he should be. In December of 1986, Father Baker came clean with Mahony about his "problem with boys" and was subsequently sent away for treatment. 9 months later he is back in the Archdiocese and thereupon begins a flurry of assignments, interspersed with therapy and other violations, all the way up to the year 2000 when Baker is finally removed from ministry.
