A misleading caption in The Tidings

The online edition of this week's issue of The Tidings, the archdiocesan newspaper, carries a misleading caption (click on this post's title) for the cover photo: "Delegates from an ecumenical conference on religion and HIV/AIDS join a march against stigmatization, discrimination and homophobia Aug. 2 in Mexico City. photo by CNS/Paul Jeffrey"

No way to tell whether The Tidings itself or the Catholic News Service (CNS) composed the photo caption. But it is sheer propaganda to characterize the homosexual activists' march as being "against stigmatization, discrimination and homophobia."

The Tidings caption would have been much more accurate if it had simply said the homosexual activists' march was "for homosexual pressure groups' political-legal-social-education agenda."

Quintero,

I just hope and pray that your comments don't lead to the sodomites taking over your blog as they more or less have done with another well known Catholic blog!

God bless, yours in Their Hearts,

Mr. Fisher,
As a Catholic who is also a homosexual, I find your post most offensive. Homosexual men and women were created by God too. Does that come as a surprise to you?

Your comment regarding "taking over" a blog makes me laugh. As you can see, we are everywhere...in your organization, in your family, and maybe even in your home.

I could understand if you wrote about you lack of understanding what is God's plan for homosexuals. That would show that as a Christian you are trying to learn...to see what God's plan is for all us.

However, sadly it seems that you know best.
