Liberal Catholics, you have not defeated the pro-life movement, only the defenseless little preborn babies. Aren't you proud of yourselves?
Liberal Catholics, no doubt including some cardinals and more than a few bishops, clergy and religious, can gloat all they want about what they suppose is a victory over the anti-abortion movement -- the election win of Barack Hussein Obama and his fellow abortion-promoting politicians in Congress and around the USA.
But the liberals have not defeated or even fazed the anti-abortion movement. They do not realize that we never go away. The liberals' real victims are America's preborn babies.
After all, if Barack Hussein gets to appoint one or more pro-abortion U.S. Supreme Court justices and dozens or hundreds of pro-abortion federal judges, then Roe vs. Wade will not be overturned, the Freedom of Choice [sic] Act will become law, and in the next generation millions or even tens of millions of America's preborn babies will pay the ultimate price.
We pro-lifers must now redouble our prayers and our efforts to see that more babies escape the clutches of the liberals and the pro-abortion politicians whom they obviously love above all else, even the Faith.
The cardinals and bishops who did not speak up for the babies, who did not excommunicate Catholic pro-abortion politicians such as Joseph Biden, and who in fact voted for Obama-Biden and other pro-aborts, have not defeated the pro-life movement, only the little babies.

No one has defeated the unborn; remember, God is with us and He loves all of His children. Let us pray, in light of the Passion of Jesus, for the unborn to receive Baptism by desire. God's Mercy is greater than every evil and He has triumphed over the world on the wood of the cross. We have nothing to fear or worry about - all we have to do is trust in God, pray and do penance.
I wrote a blog on the Rosary: http://blogsofasoul.blogspot.com/2008/10/on-crown-of-martyrydom.html
Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us!
Q,
Have you seen this?

The middle section makes your point well (extremely graphic and disturbing).
Let us continue to pray for and do all we call for these precious children.

*wonder what I mean by that???*
You warned 'em, Q, you and me BOTH warned 'em... thank God we did SOMETHING to mitigate this blood on all our hands...
The history books are full of surprises. We all should be patient, steadfast, and hopeful despite the current news. After all, Diocletian was followed by Constantine. Do not rule out direct action by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit can change events and princes.
VATICAN CITY — Barack Obama may not have been the Catholic hierarchy's favored candidate in the U.S. presidential race because of his support for abortion rights, but the Vatican on Wednesday hailed his election as a "choice that unites."
"America ... is truly the country where everything can happen," said a front-page editorial in the official Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano. "America is truly the country of the new frontier ... able to overcome fractures and divisions that until only recently could seem incurable."
FAITH & REASON: What does Obama win mean for religion's role in politics?
The article, written by Giuseppe Fiorentino, appeared next to a full-color photo of the Obama family.
Also on Wednesday, Pope Benedict XVI congratulated the president-elect on the "historic occasion" of his election.

In a telegram sent to Obama via the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See, Mary Ann Glendon, Benedict assured Obama of his prayers that God would assist him in his "high responsibilities in service to the nation and to the international community" and "sustain you and the beloved American people in your efforts, together with all men and women of good will, to build a world of peace, solidarity and justice."
Obama received a similar telegram from the Vatican's No. 2 official, Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, L'Osservatore reported.
"The job of the president of the United States is a job of immense and most high responsibility, not only for his country but for the whole world," the Rev. Federico Lombardi, head of the Vatican press office, told Vatican Radio. "Therefore we all hope that the new President Obama will be able to respond to the expectations and hopes turned toward him."
I have lost all hope in the our system of government and I feel something now that I can honestly say I have not felt since I was about four years old, fear.
nothing good will come of this.
Hi, Nick,
By "defeated the unborn," I mean that the babies will be put to death by the abortionists.
And yes, we can pray that the poor little innocent babies receive Baptism.
We all need frequent reminders such as yours about prayer, penance and trust in God.
Thank you for writing about the Rosary and for the aspiration, which we should all pray often:
Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us!
Dear Paul,
Thank you for the link. Yes, I meant to blog about the video.
Hope a lot of us saw it. "Bella" actor Eduardo Verastegui presented a version of the effective pro-life film "The Hard Truth" (in Spanish, "Dura Realidad").
There are or were versions in Spanish and English.
But, a warning: In the middle, the video shows a baby being aborted, and it also shows cruelly mutilated aborted babies.
Dear Anonymous 5:57 p.m.,
Thanks for your message of hope and encouragement. You are right that we should be patient, steadfast and full of hope and that we must pray.
You're also right about the history books being filled with surprises -- Constantine following Diocletian, as you say.
A dear friend, now gone to his eternal reward, who was a wise and holy Jesuit priest, used to remind ole Q that "The devil always overreaches himself." It is very possible that in the next four years the pro-abortion Democrats in D.C. will make big mistakes and see their plans go awry.
Dear Anonymous 1:09 p.m.,
Thank you for the news article. As we know, the Holy See is ranked among the nations, and every Pope sends every president-elect a letter.
Probably l'Osservatore Romano was suggesting a course of action to Obama -- that he not go extremist-hard-left as president.
Dear Skeetor,
Good to hear from you!
I know what you mean about being worried. It is hard to believe that such a far-left ultra-extremist and pitiless abortion zealot as Obama is going to be president of the USA. But as some commenters here are pointing out, we can trust in God. Somehow the USA got through the crazed Carter and Clinton years.
Let's hope that Obama, Biden, Reid, Pelosi and all their pro-abortion pals make lots of mistakes in the next four years so in 2012 the USA elects a pro-life president such as Sarah Palin.
God bless! O Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us!
