The spectacle of Catholic priests who supported Obama

Not very edifying, is it, to learn that some Catholic priests supported the pro-abortion zealots Barack Hussein Obama and Joseph Biden for president and vice president?

Did you see, at romancatholicblog (click on this post's title) and elsewhere, that two Orange County pastors made donations to Obama?

Yep, Fr. Art Holquin and Fr. Fred Bailey did so.

Ole Q knows a padre who, a couple of days after the election of Obama, said he "couldn't be happier" with how things turned out.

Who is going to turn such padres around and straighten out their thinking?

If every bishop would REQUIRE every pastor and every parish to begin and maintain a parish pro-life pregnancy center and to undertake pro-life prayer and sidewalk counseling at the abortion mills inside their parish boundaries, then priests might finally learn all that is stake.

Hey, isn't this THE Fr. Fred Bailey of the infamous Halloween Mass, where the choir and the EMHCs were dressed like witches and devils, and the priest himself donned a Barney costume before the end of Mass????

It's not just that some Bishops are giving a poor example - and I mean that with no disrespect to Bishops - but also there are some very liberal seminars. I know of at least one that asks if you're for or against homosexual acts, and if you say you're against, than you get kicked out of the seminars. But one might wonder how all this began?

Protestantism has done a great job in infilitrating the Church with its liberal theology, "do-what-feels-good" liturgical behavior, and compromising of the truth for the sake of unity and world peace. Confusion has spread within the Church; the liturgy, from which the life of the Church comes, has been abused by many, from dancing around the altar to blocking the Extraordinary Form of the Mass; likewise the Sacred Scriptures and Tradition, from which is born the liturgy, have also been abused by many, from changing words in the text to adding in things which do not belong to Tradition.

This is why the Church has been, for some time now, calling on Bishops to exemplars of holiness and reminding Priests of their duties as ministers. Over and over again the Church has been calling for renewal, for orthodoxy, for obedience, but even sitll, there are some who don't listen. These need our prayers, for they are in most need of the Divine Mercy.

Another thought to think about: every evil work is directed against the Church. Homosexual "marriage" is meant to destroy Matrimony, abortion is meant to destroy the saints (or those who could have become saints), etc., etc., etc. Satan works to destroy the Church, and he is doing well in attacking the Church. But no matter what he dose, the Church will triumph, for Christ has already triumphed on the wood of the cross, and He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. And His Kingdom will have no end.

It would be informative if someone would mine the Obama donor list and compile a 'Judas List' of priest donors.

Dear Nick,

Thank you for your thought-filled and thought-provoking comment.

Have you thought of turning it into a letter to your diocesan newspaper?

Thank you for encouraging all of us!

You people spend more time being upset rather than doing good. What a waste of good catholic spirit.
It's a free country, and you have allowed the far right to take over your thinking rather than respect that we might have differences in opinion. Monsignor Holquin acted privately and did not use the pulpit. People should respect his privacy and face the music, Obama is our leader and our country was broken under Bush, we need to fix things and work together.

Dear Anonymous 3:52 p.m.,

You sound kind of upset for someone who thinks other people spend more time being upset than doing good.

Your "leader" Obama is the one you need to tell about "working together" to "fix things." Or didn't you notice that Obama didn't invite a single pro-life person or group to his big "health care" summit the other day?

So much for Obama and common ground!

And haven't you noticed all the pro-abortion policy changes and appointments your "leader" is making?

As for "fixing things," let's see anyone fix an aborted baby.
