How does Cardinal Olmsted sound?
Phoenix Catholics aren't going to take a liking to this, but they should know that not a few L.A. Catholics are praying that Bishop Olmsted will succeed Cardinal Mahony when the latter's reign is finally over in 2011. In February of that year Mahony will turn 75 and L.A. Catholic will be throwing a big birthday bash for His Eminence!

What you have in Bishop Olmstead is a man of rare holiness and humility. May God find us other such men for the beleaguered episcopate.
