Birds of a Feather

When Governor Schwartenegger appointed Democratic party activist and avowed lesbian Susan Kennedy as his chief of staff, most Republicans where incensed and bewildered. http://www.blogger.com/Here

A look at where the Governor and his wife Maria Shriver attends Mass may give a clue on the Governor's thoughts. According to the Rainbow Sash Movement, homosexual rights group that demands full acceptance within the Catholic Church, Saint Monica's parish in Santa Monica is a "welcoming parish." http://www.blogger.com/Here The parish is well known throughout the Archdiocese for it's "inclusive" atmosphere.

The Governor and his Democratic wife are often seen at the parish receiving Holy Communion in spite of their unwavering support of abortion rights. The two receive in spite of the Vatican's pronouncement that Catholic politicians cannot support abortion rights. Among conservative circles, Shriver is well known as a having a big influence on the governor picking Kennedy to lead his staff. De facto governor is what one operative called her.

Oh well...

I don't know why any Republicans or anyone else would be bewildered at him choosing such a person. They don't know he's pro- abortion & queer?

They think they can tell God what is/isn't a sin and what is/isn't a sacrilidge. They are in public mortal sin and clergy must not allow them to rceive Our Lord in Holy Communion. Period. Who do they think they are? They lead their souls to hell and take weak souls with them as unholy exapmles parading around within The Catolic Faith.

It goes to prove that Catholics may well beware getting tangled up with the Republicans as well as Democrats.

Why was there so little protest against Arnold compared to John Kerry?

OW - you may be right that Bush used Arnold as a pawn to help him out in CA, but the reality is that Arnold represents what the Republican Party in CA is. The party is in sorry shape here, at least from my perspective.

I have been reading your blog for some time now. St. Monica's liturgical abuses eclipse anything you have ever posted. There is literally a rock band on the alter during the entire mass. Liturgical dancers are a regular fixture. Monsignor Torgerson's homilies are a combination of corporate training courses and Crystal Cathedral brand pop-psychology. To quote my 60 year old father: "It's like a combination of a Whitney Houston concert and the Dr. Phil show."

The parish is "inclusive," indeed. It is also openly hostile to the Holy Father, priestly celibacy, the entire moral theology of the Church, and is well entrenched in the culture of death. An influential member of the laity once apologized to an RCIA class for the Church's postion on abortion. There is no doubt in my mind that St. Monica Parish, its Pastor, Lloyd Torgerson, and many of its members are hoping for schism. I would encourage you to take a close look at this parish--one of the biggest and most influential in the Archdiocese--and you will find that it is at the forefront of everything this blog and those of us who stand alongside you oppose.

Arnie's not 'conservative', folks, he's cheap.
And as to him being influenced by Shriver: durhey! Forget 'who let this actor be governor?' You should be asking 'Who let this body-builder be an actor?' (sort of). Arnie's a guy you use to sell weight-gain powder; under no circumstances should you try and get dramatic entertainment from him, let alone giving him supreme executive power in your state!
