Report: Diocese of San Diego to file for bankruptcy

The CBS TV affiliate in San Diego is reporting (click on this post's title), as is the Associated Press, that Bishop Robert Brom says the Diocese of San Diego will file for bankruptcy.

The bankruptcy filing is expected before midnight tonight. A civil trial was supposed to commence tomorrow, but the filing will delay it.
