Blusters in the loggia

"I get the human temptation to scapegoat someone. I understand revulsion at the works of sin. What I don't understand is persistent delight in the brokenness of others."

These are the words of Clayton Emmer (THE WEIGHT OF GLORY) to Rocco Palmo (BLUSTERS IN THE LOGGIA) for his tasteless post about Father Ryan Erickson.

As usual, Clayton is supremely charitable in reproving Rocco. But don't expect Rocco to be anything other than his boorish self in response.

Never wrestle with a hog. You get full of mud, and the hog loves it.

I'm not sure why anyone should take rocco seriously. He is just playing around.

What's the difference between what Rocco said and what YOU say all the time about Mahoney? Is it solely a matter of how many times John Hearn posts in your support?

I have never call the Cardinal a "kook", or a "tribal chief poster nut," or "gay." I merely report and comment on what the Cardinal says and does, drawing from sources that are readily available to everyone.

I have noticed, however, that Cardinal Mahony does wear a "cape". Now what would the blustering Rocco in his figmental loggia have to say about that?
