The leafleting at the wREC today was a success
The leafleting at today's sessions of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles's annual Religious Education Congress was a success.
CRCOA and friends handed out large quantities of a 3,000-word expose that warned attendees about the dissenting speakers who undermine the teachings of the Church.
In fact, they couldn't hand out the leaflets fast enough.
Also, priests, sisters and lay people stopped to visit with the leafleters, and thanked them for what they were doing and encouraged them to keep it up.
People even donated money on the spot, without being asked.
This experience contradicts the propaganda of archdiocesan spokesman Tod Tamberg, who was quoted in the Orange County Register on February 27 as claiming that conference-goers "blow right by" the leafleters.
But as the flyer said, "Please note that many scheduled presenters aren't objectionable, and that Cdl. Mahony does have a few well-known 'token' orthodox Catholic speakers."
Maybe someday, though, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will stop bringing in speakers, year after year, who have long track records of being pro-abortion and pro-homosexual or who belong to Call to Action or similar groups.
