Just what is this L.A. obsession with strangely clad, short-haired, middle aged women and bowls of billowing smoke???

Make me think of Vestral Virgins or some other pagan cult from antiquity!!
This is neo-paganism in disguise...
Not much of a disguise...
JOSEPH D'HIPPOLITO SAYS...
Ya know, you've got to hand it to these ol' broads. I mean, think of how much formaldehyde they have to swim in to retain their looks -- especially since they're time travellers from Olympus, circa 600 B.C.
They really don't look a day older than 2,500, do they?
Those ladies have been reading too much Bulfinch's Mythology.
The Tidings needs to stop publishing these pictures or the general public will start wondering about LA. I did not know liturgical dancers, dressed in white and carrying incense bowls, were so common. Was there also a picture of the vey, very, scary angel in the same issue?
I, for one, am glad the Tidings publishes all this crap. Let the whole world know what a wreck Mahony has made of the Church in L.A.
