Relive a happy moment: "Habemus papam" in 2005
Click on this post's title for a happy sound-and-photo file of a memorable moment, now nearly four years ago, for all of us in the Roman Catholic Church: The announcement, in Latin of course, that "Habemus papam...Cardinalem Ratzinger!"
This file is from from Clayton Emmer's fine "The Weight of Glory" Catholic blogspot.

The ending was too funny! Thanks for the link. It sure made my day and brought back good memories of that moment. I still remember it as if it happened yesterday. At first it looked like the smoke was black, so I told my young sons that it looked like no pope was chosen yet. So I went back to finish shaving. Then they came running to me to say that it was announced that we have a pope. We stampeded back to the TV and I just jumped for joy that Cardinal Ratzinger was chosen!
Dear Pax Christi in Bakersfield,
You're welcome, and thank you for your great family reminiscences about that fine day.
Habemus papam!
