New ad petitions hierarchy about pro-abort Mrs. Pelosi

Click on this post's title to find the American Life League's latest blockbuster pro-life ad, which ran in today's Washington Times.

The ad pictures the pro-abortion fanatic Cong. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who is showing off her Catholic faith by appearing at Masses and Catholic venues as she takes control of the House of Representatives this week.

The A.L.L. queries Cardinal William Keeler of Baltimore, Archbishop Donald Wuerl of Washington, D.C., and Archbishop George Niederauer of San Francisco, "Will you speak for the House of God?" It points out Mrs. Pelosi's 100% pro-abortion voting record in the House and it asks their excellencies to stop admitting her to Holy Communion.

The ad concludes, "Proclaim the Truth in the House of God: You Can't be Catholic and Pro-Abortion."

Pro-lifers are picketing Mrs. Pelosi at her appearances; no doubt we will hear more about them soon.

Once again, I ask, "Is Archbishop Wuerl an East Coast Mahony in his treatment of pro-abortion politicians?" What do you think?

Of course.
In the name of being "pragmatic" the clergy lay down with the whore of Babylon. And since their "pragmatism" is allegiance to the cult of death where are their flocks being led???
They will answer for their misdeeds...

And Q will answer for his response: how many years has it been that this site has reported basically the same old news over and over again about this issue? Good for you Q in continuing to keep going on reporting this issue even though I haven't seen anything even remotely resembling any progress... this is really a great public service even if not efficacious in changing the clergy's hearts...

Happy New Year all LACats!!!

I found this article this morning
"Catholicism Top Faith in U.S. Congress" (http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2007/1/3/165536.shtml?s=ic)

I always knew that we in California were living on the 'Front lines' of this battle. Now it seems with the 110th Congress that the rest of the Nation will have a taste.

This is not just a Catholic battle, as you know. From the article there are many Christians in Congress. You'd think we could all combine forces to defeat this attrocity.

With any front line battle, it may seem one is not progressing as well as should be.

But I refuse to surrender an inch of ground. We are making progress. We are fighting the good fight.

Dear Dave,

Here is something T.S. Eliot said:

“I confess . . . that I am not myself very much concerned with the question of influence, or with those publicists who have impressed their names upon the public by catching the morning tide and rowing very fast in the direction in which the current was flowing; but rather that there should always be a few writers preoccupied in penetrating to the core of the matter, in trying to arrive at the truth and to set it forth, without too much hope, without ambition to alter the immediate course of affairs, and without being downcast or defeated when nothing appears to ensue.”

Dear Dave,

Thank you very much for your kind words about this blogspot. It is good of you to encourage ole Q, and good for all of us to encourage each other.

The Good Lord is in charge, and we bloggers and commenters will never know for sure how many hearts get changed because of something we write.

Happy New Year to you and to all of us!

Dear West Coast Catholic,

Thank you for fighting the good fight and never giving in.

That is a good point you make about this being not just a Catholic battle.

On the realm of politics, for instance, by one count there are 155 Catholics in the new Congress and almost twice as many Protestants, 307 (not including Mormons).
